SCOTT ASHCROFT
Scott Ashcroft

DIRECTOR

With nearly 10 years of experience in Veterinary recruitment, Scott is regarded as one of the leading specialists in the UK, working closely with all of the main charity and corporate organisations and helping to manage staffing levels with high quality vets and nurses.

 

In an ever changing industry, Scott spends a lot of his time with the various Veterinary Schools and Universities across the UK and offers help and advice to the students to ensure they are prepared for working life and he is currently involved in Post Brexit talks with the various organisations to enable overseas staff to continue to work in the UK with minimal disruption.

 

Outside of work, Scott has 3 young children, an old smelly Labrador and he plays league Badminton and Football.

 

Stuart has worked in veterinary recruitment for many years and manages various national accounts. His passion is for permanent recruitment and he currently manages the permanent team at the BVS.

 

He is very well liked and respected within the industry and he is always trying to find people their dream position.
 
Outside of work he has a wife and two daughters he is very proud of and a love of Formula one and his Caterham car​.

After Graduating from Swansea University, Natalie joined the BVS in 2016 and has proved to be a natural at Veterinary recruitment.

 

Managing the South East of England, she works with permanent and locum vets and vet nurses and she has an excellent reputation within London and the surrounding counties. She is hard working, caring and extremely knowledgeable of current vacancies and staff who will be suitable. She is consistently one of the highest performers in the BVS and she is a valued member of our team.

 

Outside of work Natalie will either be found in the gym, out running or with her lovely Retriever Renly. Additionally she has brought her first home and is involved in a renovation project

Rob graduated from the University of Plymouth and has had a diverse career within research at one of the UK’s largest animal charities followed by 7 years successfully running a national franchise business. Rob has been involved in recruitment specifically within the veterinary sector for over 4 years and enjoys supporting practices to ensure they meet their strategic and operational goals by having the right staff in place. Rob has supported a large number of candidates in achieving their career goals and is always happy to have an informal chat.

 

Robert is responsible for BVS Farm and Equine but still keeps busy with permanent and locum small animal vets.

 

Rob is based on a busy working dairy farm in Cornwall, with additions including Anglo Nubian goats and Mangalitsa pigs, with his partner who is a dairy specialist Vet so is very used to on-call life!

Adam has been with the BVS since 2014 and is one of our consistently high performers and a very popular member of the team. Adam primarily manages the West and Wales but he has a high number of locum vets and nurses working through him and he is instrumental in the training and development of the newer members of our team. He enjoys special relationships with the area managers of Vets4pets and Medivet and is very well known throughout the industry.

 

Outside of work Adam has recently purchased his first home and is involved in a renovation project, he is a lovely father to Lily his young daughter, has a keen interest in Detailing Sports Cars and enjoys playing Squash and Cricket.

Harry has been with the BVS since 2014 and is has constantly proved himself to be a fantastic recruiter and very popular member if the team. Harry has won Employee of the quarter for both Quarter 3 and 4 in 2018 (which is a fantastic achievement considering the quality of the team) and his 2019 is looking equally as promising.

 

Harry joined the BVS on a Learn Direct apprenticeship and after successfully passing his course has undergone a thorough training process which has been so beneficial to his development. He understands all aspects of the recruitment process and he is highly skilled in sending the right candidates for the right jobs. Harry has a big future at the BVS.

Outside of work, Harry loves spending time with his partner, time with his family and dogs, he has played County Rugby and Football to a high standard.

Kirsty joined the BVS in 2016 and has successfully managed the day to day demands of a busy office and manages the administration and payroll for over 100 locums.

 

Kirsty is a valued member of the BVS team who forms the back bone of our successful business. She is knowledgeable on all payroll issues and has been managing our locum queries for over 2 years.

 

Outside of work she has a lovely son called Oliver, a crazy cat and spends her free time in the gym or socialising.

Mia joined the BVS in January 2017 and has proved to be an excellent recruitment consultant. Primarily managing locum staff in the South of England she is at tentative, hardworking and has a thorough understanding of the needs of practice and suitable staff.

 

Prior to the BVS, Mia managed a high street Jewellery store for nearly 6 years but she has adopted to recruitment with considerable ease.

 

She has just celebrated buying her first house. In her spare time she enjoys exploring new countries, trying lots of different foods, drinking and being merry. She likes to spend her evenings and weekends going on country walks with her partner and his dog, a handsome black Labrador called Dylan. She also devotes some of her spare time supporting an animal rescue charity in the local area. 

 

Mia Surowinski

Stef joined the team in February 2017 and she brings a wealth of recruitment experience with her after working in IT recruitment. Stef manages the Midlands area and she is responsible for the permanent and locum vets and nurses throughout her area. She has a good understanding of her position and she is building an excellent reputation with her clients and the vets and nurses.

 

She is a very popular member of the team and is proving to be an excellent recruitment consultant.

 

Outside of work, she has a lovely partner who she enjoys spending time with, she keeps fit, a keen cyclist and has a real passion for singing.

Jack Mills is basically Jack Mills. He is the UK equivalent of Chuck Norris. After graduation from Business College in July this year Jack has proved to be a fantastic recruitment consultant and is a very popular member of the team.

 

Through his hard work and cheeky character he is proving to be a valued member of the team and has the natural talent to not only work with Vets and Nurses but to build friendships and lasting relationships.

 

With hard work 2019 could see Jack as one of our leading consultants which is a high accolade in a team of experienced consultants.

 

Outside of work Jack is an excellent football player, ex-Exeter City and now the Captain of a highly regarded Exeter team and thoroughly enjoys socialising.

Ellie is a recent Cardiff University graduate who has been part of the farming community all her life, her family have an extensive Suffolk flock in Devon. Ellie is also an enthusiastic rider and enjoys eventing and point to point.  Ellie has many connections throughout the veterinary and charity sector having spent time working with the Donkey Sanctuary.

 

Ellie is always on hand to offer impartial friendly support and guidance to candidates looking for a change in their career.

Joe is a recent graduate from Plymouth University and very hardworking and likeable individual. He is working with permanent and locum vets and nurses in the M4 corridor and South of England and is demonstrating a natural flair for recruitment.

 

Joe has the lovely skill of really engaging with his vets and nurses and getting to know what they enjoy and what type of work is suitable. That is then being applied to the practice he is working with so we have high hopes got Joe in the future.

 

Outside of work Joe is a very talented footballer, playing for two Exeter based teams to a high standard and he is in the gym every night after work
