Night Veterinary Surgeon – Lancashire

Shift Pattern: 5 nights on, 10 nights off (7:00 PM – 9:00 AM)
An established veterinary practice in Lancashire is currently seeking an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join its dedicated team. The practice prides itself on its community-focused ethos and commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to both patients and clients.
About the Practice
The practice is well-equipped and supported by a friendly and collaborative team including multiple Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Client Care Advisors, and Veterinary Care Assistants. The night team works closely with the wider group to ensure continuity of care and clinical excellence around the clock.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding clinical care during night shifts, including consultations, diagnostics, and procedures.
- Provide excellent communication with clients, ensuring clarity and compassion in every interaction.
- Prepare personalised treatment plans with transparent cost estimates.
- Maintain professional and regulatory compliance in all clinical activities.
- Support, coach, and develop team members to help them reach their full potential.
- Carry out handovers and ensure appropriate transfer of patients requiring ongoing or enhanced care.
- Share clinical knowledge and best practices across the wider network.
Essential Skills & Experience
- MRCVS (RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon)
- Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Strong team-working and communication skills
- Capable of clinical leadership and mentoring others
- Familiarity with nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
- A positive, proactive approach to supporting clinical excellence across teams
