Registered Veterinary Nurse – Heathfield, East Sussex
Full Time | Salary £30,000–£32,000 DOE
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and supportive veterinary team in Heathfield, East Sussex. This is a great opportunity for a motivated RVN looking to develop their career within a professional practice that prioritises high standards of patient care and teamwork.
You’ll play a key role supporting the veterinary surgeons and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering excellent clinical care to patients and clients.
The Role
- Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations, procedures and surgeries
- Administer medications and monitor anaesthesia
- Provide pre- and post-operative care including wound management and recovery monitoring
- Collect and process laboratory samples to support diagnosis
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
- Deliver clear advice and support to pet owners on animal health and aftercare
- Maintain high clinical hygiene standards across wards, equipment and prep areas
This role offers exposure to a varied caseload in a collaborative team environment where nurses are encouraged to utilise their full skill set.
About You
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Confident in general nursing duties within a practice environment
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about animal welfare and ongoing professional development
