Registered Veterinary Nurse - South East London

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly and close-knit team at a well-established small animal practice in South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who enjoys a supportive working environment, a strong nursing voice, and the chance to fully utilise their clinical skills.

You will be joining a three-vet team led by an experienced Branch Partner with a certificate in Small Animal Surgery, alongside a student nurse nearing qualification, Veterinary Care Assistants, a dedicated Client Care Assistant and an experienced Practice Manager.

The Practice

The practice is well equipped, allowing thorough case work-ups and high clinical standards. Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, haematology and biochemistry analysers, centrifuge and microscope.

The caseload is varied, with approximately 70% feline and 30% canine patients, offering excellent exposure for nurses with an interest in cat-friendly practice. The team values open communication, teamwork and ensuring time is protected for administration and breaks.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality patient and client care
• Support surgical procedures, including pre and post-operative care
• Run nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 activities
• Monitor inpatients and provide hands-on nursing care
• Manage admissions and discharges in collaboration with the veterinary team
• Dispense and check medications accurately
• Support effective day-to-day practice operations through teamwork and communication

This role operates on a 4-day working week with 1 in 6 weekends, including a set day off each week to support work–life balance.

Development & Support

You will be supported with internal CPD and training to develop confidence in nurse consults. Further qualifications and professional development are actively encouraged.
