Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a friendly and supportive veterinary practice in the West Midlands. The practice has an established and loyal client base and operates from a modern, recently refurbished standalone facility.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative clinical team consisting of experienced veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, and dedicated support staff. This role offers the chance to further develop nursing skills within a well-equipped practice that prioritises high standards of patient care and professional development.
Practice Facilities
The practice is housed in a modern, purpose-built building and has recently undergone refurbishment. Facilities include:
- Dedicated nurse consulting room
- Sterile operating theatre
- Self-contained dental suite with dental X-ray
- Digital X-ray room
- Separate kennel and cattery wards
- On-site parking and outdoor space
Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week on a rota basis
- Shifts scheduled between 8:30am and 7:30pm
- 1 in 6 weekend rota at a nearby 24-hour veterinary hospital
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Registered Veterinary Nurse will:
- Deliver excellent clinical care and patient welfare
- Carry out nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate
- Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgeries, and diagnostics
- Monitor hospitalised patients and provide attentive nursing care
- Manage patient admissions and discharges
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with regulatory standards
- Provide exceptional communication and support to clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive and professional team
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current professional registration
