Registered Veterinary Nurse – Multi-Site Small Animal Practices

Ayrshire
Salary up to £32,000 (DOE)
Full-time or Part-time | Flexible working

A forward-thinking group of small animal practices in Ayrshire is seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its supportive and progressive team. This opportunity is ideal for either an experienced RVN looking for a new challenge or a newly qualified nurse seeking a strong and encouraging start to their career.

The Practices

This multi-site team operates across three well-established practices within Ayrshire and is built on a culture of mutual respect, collaboration, and continuous development. Nurses are truly valued, listened to, and supported, with clinical leadership that understands the nursing role at every level.

The nursing team includes RVNs with additional training and interests in areas such as pain management, behaviour, acupuncture, and Schedule 3 procedures. Modern equipment and facilities are in place to support high-quality patient care and allow nurses to work to the top of their licence.

The Team

Across the three practices, the wider clinical team includes:

  • A large and experienced veterinary team
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses and Clinical Coach RVNs
  • GPD-trained Clinical Lead Vets
  • Dedicated clinical nursing leadership and management support

Even when working across different sites, collaboration and support are prioritised to ensure no one feels isolated.

The Role

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied nursing role with genuine autonomy and responsibility, including:

  • Nurse-led consultations
  • Anaesthetic monitoring and theatre support
  • In-patient and ward nursing
  • Supporting clinical workflows across multiple practices
  • Opportunities to develop special interests and lead services

Flexible working patterns are available, with full-time and part-time options considered.

  • RCVS-registered (or newly qualified) Veterinary Nurse
  • Positive, proactive, and team-focused
