Job Details

A busy small animal practice is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their established clinical team. The practice provides a modern, purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art equipment including two operating theatres, ultrasound, digital radiography, full endoscopy, in-house laboratory, and CT scanning.

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced vets, RVNs, student nurses, and client care staff, providing exceptional care across a varied caseload that includes routine and complex medical and surgical cases. This role requires a candidate with at least three years’ practice experience, strong diagnostic and medical skills, confidence with routine surgical procedures, and occasional sole charge.

About the Role

• Full-time, 40 hours per week (4 weekdays)
• Weekend rota: 1 in 6 full weekends, 1 in 6 Saturdays
• No out-of-hours work
• Opportunities for part-time hours for the right candidate
• Exposure to a wide variety of cases including internal medicine, soft tissue, and orthopaedic surgery

Candidate Requirements

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Minimum three years’ experience in small animal practice
• Strong medical and diagnostic skills
• Competent in routine surgery, confident in sole charge
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Interest in continuing professional development, including certificates
