Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time/Consult-Only

A well-established, independently owned small animal practice in Greater Manchester is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking part-time or consult-only work while developing their clinical skills in a collaborative environment.

About the Practice

Opened in 2000, the practice has built a loyal client base and a strong, positive team culture. The practice is led by experienced owners who prioritise professional development and staff wellbeing. The team comprises three full-time vets, a five-strong nursing team, and five receptionists.

The Role

  • Part-time (20 hours/week)
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–1pm, typical)
  • Consult-only positions welcome
  • Focus on routine consults, diagnostics, and surgeries within your comfort zone
  • Work in a supportive team with minimal sole charge responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration
  • Competent in routine surgery and diagnostics
  • Team player with excellent communication and client care skills
  • Keen to develop professionally through CPD and certificates
  • Enjoys working in a busy, friendly, and collaborative environment
