Veterinary Surgeon – Hertfordshire
A small animal practice in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and welcoming team.
About the Practice
The practice is located within a retail environment on a busy retail park, providing a well-equipped facility and plenty of onsite parking. Hemel Hempstead is just 24 miles north-west of London, offering excellent transport links for commuting or travel.
The team consists of 3 veterinarians, 2 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student nurses, a veterinary care assistant, and 2 receptionists. The practice is a busy first-opinion clinic, offering a variety of cases and opportunities for professional growth. Team support and collaboration are central, with regular case discussions to broaden clinical knowledge.
The Role
- Full-time or part-time, with flexible working patterns
- Full-time: 4-day week
- Shared weekend rota: 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays
- No out-of-hours duties or overnight in-patient checks
- Opportunity to handle a wide range of small animal cases
- Support and mentorship available for all experience levels
