Veterinary Surgeon - Hospital in Lancashire

Job description

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established 24-hour hospital in Lancashire. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, collaborative clinical environment, delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining excellent regulatory and operational standards.

The Role

This position would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in hospital and inpatient care, including the investigation and management of complex medical cases.

  • Delivery of high standards of clinical care across consultations, procedures and inpatient work
  • Active involvement in the development of hospital and inpatient services
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure continuity of care
  • Clinical leadership and mentoring of colleagues where appropriate

A certificate holder (or a Vet working towards a certificate) is preferred. A background or strong interest in internal medicine would be highly advantageous.

Working Pattern
  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week
  • Mix of early and late shifts between 8:30am – 7:30pm
  • 1 in 6 full weekends on the rota
The Team & Facilities

You will be supported by a large and experienced team, including multiple Veterinary Surgeons, day and night RVNs, and dedicated support staff. The hospital is well-equipped to manage a broad and challenging caseload, offering excellent scope for clinical development and progression.
