Veterinary Surgeon – Full-Time

South Yorkshire
Salary up to £60,000 FTE (DOE)
4-day weekday rota | 1 in 3 Saturdays | No OOH

A busy and supportive small animal practice in South Yorkshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who wants to develop their skills in surgery, medicine, and client care while benefiting from a structured work-life balance.

About the Practice

The practice is well-established and known for its high-quality patient care and team-focused culture. The clinical team includes experienced vets with advanced qualifications, allowing you to work alongside specialists in surgery, diagnostics, and internal medicine.

Facilities and support include:

  • In-house digital X-ray and IM3 dental X-ray
  • Ultrasound and ECG
  • Surgical suite with multiparameter monitoring and class IV laser therapy
  • Separate dog, cat, and isolation wards
  • Structured consults with a supportive nursing team

South Yorkshire offers a blend of market towns and countryside, with excellent transport links to nearby cities, making commuting easy and providing plenty of leisure opportunities.

The Role

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • 4-day weekday rota with same day off each week
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am–1pm/variable)
  • No out-of-hours work or Sundays
  • Routine surgery and consults, with support from experienced colleagues for advanced procedures
  • Opportunity to pursue clinical interests and CPD

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration
  • Competent in routine surgery and consults
