Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive, and progressive veterinary team in Cornwall.

This well-established practice has been delivering exceptional care to pets and farm animals across Devon and Cornwall for more than 65 years. With multiple well-equipped small animal sites and a strong focus on teamwork, clinical standards, and professional development, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to thrive within a collaborative environment.

The practice manages a wide range of medical and surgical cases in-house and is equipped with modern facilities including dental radiography and advanced imaging support. The team also benefits from regular input from visiting orthopaedic specialists and experienced certificate holders.

The Role

  • Full-time position with a 4.5-day working week
  • Flexible working arrangements considered
  • Day shifts typically 8:30am – 5:30pm with a dedicated lunch break
  • Participation in a 1 in 6 Saturday morning rota, with time off in lieu provided
  • No emergency out-of-hours responsibilities
  • Inpatient care managed overnight by a dedicated night nurse, with veterinary support available on-call if required
  • Opportunity to work across multiple branches, with flexibility based on individual preference
