Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice
Location: Hampshire
Salary: Circa £55,000 (dependent on experience)
A well-established, family-run independent small animal practice in Hampshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and experienced team.
Established in 2008, this proudly independent practice remains one of the few in the area — and is committed to staying that way. With three vets and a long-standing nursing team, the practice offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on clinical freedom and continuity of care.
The Role
- Four-day week (Wednesday off)
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:15am–11:30am) with a half day the day before
- No out-of-hours
- Working hours 8:15am–6:30pm (typically with a generous lunch break of up to two hours)
- No sole charge
- 15-minute consultations
- Balanced mix of consulting and surgery
On Saturdays, vets typically finish around 1:30pm for lunch and return by 3:30pm to begin afternoon consultations.
