Veterinary Surgeon – Part Time

Location: West Sussex
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Job Type: Permanent, Part Time (20 hours per week)

A well-established, award-winning veterinary practice in West Sussex is seeking a skilled and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, dynamic team on a part-time basis.

Set in a scenic location near woodland and nature, the practice offers a tranquil working environment while maintaining excellent access to transport links, including nearby Gatwick Airport and routes to London and Brighton.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide exceptional clinical care, supporting consults and surgical procedures, and will work closely with a talented team of vets, nurses, and reception staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering consults and surgical procedures to the highest clinical and regulatory standards
  • Developing tailored treatment plans with clients
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues where appropriate
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment

Practice & Facilities

  • Purpose-built, modern practice designed for efficiency and comfort
  • Experienced team including multiple nurses and reception staff
  • Supportive senior vet available to assist during surgery
  • Exposure to a wide variety of cases, with potential for orthopaedic/TPLO experience to be utilised

Working Hours & Benefits

About You

  • Qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
  • Passionate about clinical excellence and patient care
  • Collaborative team player, keen to support colleagues and contribute to practice development
