The BVS have worked with overseas vets for many years and are experts at finding you a route in to working life in the UK.
We have over twenty years of experience and have worked with EU members, non-EU members and have experience of worked with the UK border Agency for many years.
The Brexit has obviously raised questions over the future of overseas vets but the BVS will be here to work with you and whether the UK adopts a points based system, a Purple card system similar to several years ago or continue with free movement we will be here to help you.
We have vast experience in finding practices where you can see practice, familiarise yourself with UK practising methods and prepare yourself for working in the UK.
We also have a network of practices who will happily employ overseas vets and to give you your first opportunity to begin living and working here.
We have been doing this for many years and to a lot of overseas vets we are the first stop at the beginning of your exciting journey.
If you live outside of the EU and would like to work in the UK then you will need to receive sponsorship from a practice which will be authorised by the UK border agency.
We have extensive knowledge of the sponsorships available and the companies that will offer you employment.
In the first instance you will need to check with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to ensure that your veterinary degree is recognised and they are happy to grant you registration.
If the RVCS are happy to grant you registration then will have a selection of options for you and we will be happy to work with you throughout the entire process.
We have done this many times and we can answer a lot of the questions you may have.
