Veterinary Surgeon - Dorset

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive, and highly skilled team at a Small Animal Hospital in Dorset. This role offers excellent clinical exposure,strong team support, and access to advanced facilities in a desirable coastal location.

The Practice
It is a well-established 24-hour hospital supported by an experienced and collaborative team, including a Branch Partner, 4.5 Veterinary Surgeons (with certificates in Cardiology, Small Animal Surgery, Behaviour and ECC), a dedicated nursing team of RVNs, SVNs and VCAs, and a full reception team.

The hospital is well equipped, offering:
• Laparoscopy
• Rigid and flexible endoscopy
• Ultrasound
• Full in-house laboratory
• Digital and dental X-ray
• Separate dog and cat wards with underfloor heating
• Spacious, bright consultation rooms

The Hours
The role is made up of a 40 hour week with weekends on a shared rota basis.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
• Provide clear, compassionate communication to clients
• Prepare accurate treatment plans and cost estimates
• Maintain high standards of clinical, regulatory and operational compliance
• Support clinical handovers and patient transfers
• Mentor and develop colleagues, fostering a positive clinical culture
