Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Practice

Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)
Full-time | 35 hours per week

A well-established and friendly small animal practice in Nottinghamshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its supportive and experienced team. The Practice

The practice is conveniently located with easy access to major transport routes and public transport links. It has been established for over a decade and has built a strong reputation for high-quality patient and client care.

This is a teaching-focused environment, regularly supporting student nurses and veterinary students, making it ideal for a vet who enjoys collaboration and knowledge sharing. The team is experienced, approachable, and committed to supporting one another.

  • Fully equipped in-house laboratory

  • Advanced ultrasound with cardiac probe

The Role

This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week with a structured rota designed to support work–life balance.

Key details include:

  • Regular weekday hours with the same day off each week
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00am–5:00pm)
  • No out-of-hours work
  • Minimal sole charge, with support readily available
  • Opportunity to manage a varied first-opinion caseload

The role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon confident in routine consultations and surgery. Support is available for non-routine procedures, and applications are welcomed from vets holding advanced qualifications, with salary reflective of experience.
